I have been fine for a few days,

Until …

Another setback.

 

Flashbacks of negative emotion pour freely,

Like fireworks displayed on the reflection of my tears,

Like sentences that I never have completed,

Torn sheets of paper,

Like pieces of different puzzles that fight for completion

 

Two steps forward, one step back.

I am scared that I will no longer recognize,

Instead, linger on the idea of definitiveness,

Where I am only moving in circles,

Backward.

 

Always another step back.
