Determined to make a comeback in One Championship, Adonis Sevilleno hopes to score another win when he headlines Team Lakay Championship presents Cong. Eric Go Yap Martial Arts Tournament slated March 30 at the BSU closed gym.
A native of Bantayan Islands, Cebu, who now calls La Trinidad, Benguet his second home, Sevilleno will take on Davao City’s Dave Morata of DyIncredible Fighting & Fitness Center in a featherweight match -up of the event sanctioned by the Games and Amusement Board.
Sevilleno is coming off a huge win in his last bout last December with an arm triangle submission in the first round against Reden Manguiat during the Benguet Explosion Martial Arts Tournament.
Co – headlining the event is Lubuagan, Kalinga and Kapangan, Benguet pride Jean Claude Saclag who will take on Gemil Clariño representing Fitness Idol MMA of San Pablo City, Laguna in a bantamweight match-up.
Saclag hopes to score another victory in MMA after his recent technical knock – out win against Ronald Regalado also during the Benguet Explosion Martial Arts Tournament.
An exciting match-up awaits viewers as Estrada Donga-as and Anthony Brutas square off in a flyweight match while Joris Jonker of Netherlands takes on Alex Bigander in a catchweight MMA match.
A featherweight K1 match – up is also in the fight card between Nahuel Gandolfi and Jairus Aban while Hyuma Sibaen and Jian Francisco squares off in a catchweight K1 action as Emildwin Aliong battles Rueben Sawang in a bantamweight K1 bout.
Several amateur MMA bouts are also in the fight card with Team Lakay’s Ralph Cervantes facing off Arvin Sabado representing Tribu Banwar of Kalinga while Lecko Gamonnac representing UB Cardinals will be up against Charles Calawen of Sagada, Mt. Province representing Quads-Furukawa MMA in a 130 lbs catchweight match.
Another amateur featherweight MMA bout featuring UC Jaguars Wushu Sanda Varsity Team Jed Sayud who will be battling John Clyde Masado representing BSU Wildcats Combative Club.
Both up and coming fighters are from Mankayan, Benguet.
In the battle of debutants, James Duag of San Fernando, La Union representing Lakay San Fernando will be up against Shakespeare Bacacao representing Tribu Banwar of Kalinga in a catchweight MMA action. Roderick Osis
