It’s love month, this column turns one year this February and I’m sharing hugs to all of you – at least, figuratively speaking. The love witch (tita) is here again.
January came too fast, how are you so far? I guess we are thriving and hanging by a thread. Doesn’t matter, as long as you’re alive and kicking – kick like a stallion (the Red horse way)!
I added another year in my life last month and it seems I was worried why I am not going somewhere. I’m still stuck to not taking regular 8 am to 5 pm jobs. However, what constitutes a regular job? In a world that’s dreamy, you have to thrive to survive an 8am to 5pm job. But, what if you can’t?
Some people with mental health problems can’t swallow a regular job which they are not passionate about. Maybe, almost everyone does. While some get a job but are not able to hold it because of mental health issues? Inclusivity in terms of finding employment is a good thing, it is part of our laws now. However, as to application and function, it is a hard-earned effort realistically.
Do you know that most people suffer depression because of unemployment? Not being able to work has its corresponding effects. While some works are tedious and susceptible to mental health deprivation. That’s why people are asking, what would you choose – your job or your mental wellness? It’s good that a mental health break now is afforded by the law.
At these times, I think that people are equipped with the capacity to create opportunities of their own whether with or without mental health problems. It must be a job or work aligned to your interests and skills. It is something that you will eventually find out. If you’re not yet there, take your time. Life is a process after all and sometimes time is not too relevant. You grow and bloom on your own.
This column has turned one year, I wish you love for this lovely month. Hugs to you and may you find your purpose! If you’re not yet there, take your time!
