Construction worker nabbed for illegal drugs

A construction worker was arrested in Baguio City in a sting operation for possession of illegal drugs worth P34,000 on July 13.

The suspected street level pusher, identified as a 35 – year – old male construction worker, a resident of Barangay Sto. Rosario, Baguio City will now be facing charges for Violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 after he was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by Police Regional Office – Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO – CAR) in Baguio City on July 13, 2024.

The suspect was arrested by the joint operatives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) and Regional Intelligence Division of PRO-CAR, PDEG SOU-14, Regional Intelligence Unit-14, and City Drug Enforcement Unit and Police Station 7 of Baguio City Police Office after he sold one sachet of suspected shabu weighing approximately one gram with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P6,800.

During his arrest, another sachet of suspected shabu weighing approximately four grams with an SDP of P27,200 was discovered in his possession.

PRO – CAR has been intensifying its anti – illegal drugs operation after it recently discovered and uprooted P7 million worth of marijuana plants in separate operations in the different parts of the region conducted from July 6 to 9, 2024. NLMonitor
