Coffee or Tea

Milk tea please. In a world that’s full of myriad things, how do you keep up with the times? How do you remain sane in a world that makes you insane?

Actually, I myself experienced this. I refused to take my medicines, striving that I was already well and all. There were no hallucinations but I had bodily manifestations of not taking the medicines. Perhaps a relapse or maybe a side effect of the medicines.

After going back to my medicines, it’s like going back to square one, but there’s one thing plaguing on my mind – running through like a fun run that’s waiting to unfold. It’s not towards the finish line but going through the starting line.

Imagine if I can get diagnosed, I surely can’t help keep up with the medicines. Truly, the public sector has remedies for these and I applaud some of them. However, the vast number of people within the Philippines and the need for supply doesn’t make it feasible.

I’ve tried asking the public sector but they answered there were no available medicines anymore. Also, the public sector gave me the same medicines 11 years before despite a change from Schizophrenia to Schizoaffective Disorder. Maybe she was wrong or maybe she was right. Everybody tries, at least.

I wonder how my racing thoughts reminded me that I am happy to afford my medicines. What if I am a casual employee with children earning a minimum wage of 400 pesos plus a day? Then, food on the table is a better expense with at least a 150 meal for a day compared to an additional 300 pesos day for medicines. I mean you cannot eat medicines alone! It’s a necessity but food is more necessary.

So there goes mental health, if you can’t afford the basics how will you aim to be better? I mean even dole-outs are not enough. Now, how are you going to make changes now?

Election is on, choose wisely. Be on guard with your votes and those predominating schemes of low-lying staffs saying, I started everything through my own plans and works. The fact that I did everything – the supposed one man team in people’s eyes. Why? It is because people lead and team up too. Who agrees or not?

No matter the gutsy ordeal and the stomach guts you have, you have to survive. Be sure to take care of your mental health the best way you can.

I know it’s hard to take it slow and to have your medicines but know yourself. Know when to reach out. After all, you are responsible for yourself. No one knows it better than you.

As for me, I’m running towards the finish line. Hopefully, I get to win a real race – someday!

But who is coming with me? Maybe try to bring your running shoes and wear your race gears.

All the best in running the race for the finish line – may it be for the elections, fun runs and the survival feats. Ready, get set, go!
