No casualties were reported in the city after days of rain and strong wind.
As the city remains under a red rainfall warning, the the City Social Welfare and Development Office with the Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC) reported 39 families representing 189 individuals were affected by typhoon Carina.
Top affected barangays were identified as Lower Magsaysay with 7 families (29 individuals), Happy Hallow and Padre Burgos with 5 families each (22 individuals), Irisan with 3 families (22 individuals) and Pinsao Proper with 3 families (20 individuals).
On Thursday morning, Mayor Benjamin Magalong, together with City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officer Engineer Charles Carame conducted an ocular inspection of key areas in the city and proceeded to a landslide incident at Camp Allen and Ambiong.
Response teams reported 4 partially damaged homes in the city while 2 incidents of soil erosion, a lone landslide and fallen tree.
Personnel of the Bureau of Fire Protection-Baguio City Fire Station (BFP-BCFS) reported a continuous response to all reported incidents as they conducted partial clearing of eroded riprap at Bengao, Bakakeng while monitoring and inspection at Brookside, Bayan Park Village, North Central Aurora Hill, Camdas to North Sanitary Camp, Purok 18 Barangay Irisan to Lamtang Bridge.
Fire Marshal FSupt Marisol Hernandez Odiver said that no untoward incidents were so far reported, βPlease do not hesitate to call the fire station for any emergencies. We are always at your service in ensuring the safety of everyone,β he said.
The San Luis Multipurpose Hall has served 3 families representing 14 individuals who had to pre- emptively flee their homes while disaster response offices monitored there were 10 families representing 60 individuals who had to stay with relatives.
