Aboitiz Renewables, Inc., the renewable energy arm of Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower), won Independent Power Producer of the Year at the Enlit Asia Power & Energy Awards 2026, recognizing the company’s project completions, merger and acquisition activities, and sector leadership in advancing clean energy across the Philippines.
Over the past 48 months, Aboitiz Renewables added 846 megawatts (MW) of new and diversified supply to the grid through six solar plants totaling 789 MW, 40 MW of RE-integrated battery energy storage system, and a 17-MW geothermal binary plant in Tiwi, Albay.
With the acquisition of the Caliray-Botocan-Kalayaan pumped-storage hydro complex last February, the company has further grown its attributable capacity from around 900 megawatts in 2022 to over 2 gigawatts today.
Aboitiz Renewables also advanced four battery energy storage projects into construction and is targeting its first wind project online by the end of 2026.

Aboitiz Renewables currently operates 45 renewable energy facilities nationwide, with a development pipeline of more than 1,000 MW across solar, hydro, and wind projects.
