Mayor Benjamin Magalong expressed his continued support for the Summer Capital’s tourism stakeholders during the Quarterly Membership Meeting of the Association of Travel & Tour Management in the Cordilleras (ATTIC), April 30, at Hotel Supreme, here.
He also emphasized the importance of sustainable tourism practices and partnerships in strengthening the city’s travel and hospitality industry which is one of its main economic drivers.
“Together, let us keep building a vibrant, resilient, and inclusive tourism landscape for all,” the Mayor stressed.
Various travel and tour operators attended the prestigious event which highlighted the crucial role of collaboration, innovation and shared vision in making Baguio and the Cordillera region into a premier and responsible tourism destination.
Earlier, Department of Tourism-Cordillera (DOT-CAR) Dir. Jovita Ganongan reported that Baguio accounted for around 75% of the 1.98 million total tourist arrivals in the region last year.- Baguio City Public Information Office
