Russel Tuazon exploded in the third canto as he scored nine of his team high 27 points as the defending champion outscored their opponent 29-18 and turn a four – point deficit into an 89-74 advantage.
From there, La Trinidad did not look back as it cruised to its eighth victory as it looks forward to meeting Kapangan this Saturday.
“It was maybe over confidence, so I told the guys to play their game,” coach Jhong del Rosario told his players.
La Trinidad started hot leading by as much as seven until Sablan found its rhythm with Jim Coy-om and Diether Bulso leading the charge.
Sablan even took the lead middle of the second canto, before a strong charge by Trinidad to give them a 60-54 lead at half time.

Clyde Habon added 17 points for La Trinidad while pulling down nine rebounds, while Jason Alvaran added 11 markers.
