Cordillera cops nabs three most wanted

Three individuals listed as Top Most Wanted Persons (TMWPs) were arrested in the provinces of Apayao and Ifugao on July 9 while P47,600 worth of illegal drugs were confiscated with the pusher nabbed by police in Kalinga.

A 39-year-old male identified as the No. 2 TMWP at the Regional Level of CAR was arrested in Brgy Sacpil, Conner, Apayao following the implementation of warrant of arrest for sexual assault and two counts of Rape against a 14-year-old female minor that occurred on June 2023 and June 2024.

Another 17-year-old male minor identified as the No. 1 TMWP at the Municipal Level of Flora was arrested in Brgy Poblacion East, Flora, also in Apayao for four counts of statutory rape and rape by sexual assault against a 13-year-old female minor that occurred on January and February 2024.

In Ifugao, a 58-year-old male listed as the No. 5 TMWP at the Regional Level of CAR was arrested in Brgy Sto. Domingo, Alfonso Lista, for statutory rape and violation of RA 7610, also known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, against a 16-year-old female minor that happened on February 2024.

The suspects were taken into custody by their respective operating units for documentation and appropriate disposition prior turn-over to the issuing court

In Kalinga a street level drug personality was arrested while P47,600 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated in Tabuk City on July 9.

Based on the reports submitted to the Police Regional Office – CAR regional director, P/BGEN David Peredo Jr., a 30-year-old-male, identified as a street level individual, was arrested after the implementation of a search warrant at his residence in Purok 3, Brgy San Juan.

During the search, police discovered and confiscated nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing approximately seven grams, one .38 caliber pistol, and assorted drug paraphernalia.

The suspect and the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the custody of Kalinga PPO PDEU for proper documentation. The suspect will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. NLMonitor
