I wonder how they made computers with those chips and now known microchips. I wonder how such ideas can start from the MsDos during my time (been a while right) to the Windows or Apple application today. Seriously, I thought windows were for houses! Meanwhile apples are fruits – the ones which William Tell arrows too..

I wonder how a new one gets all fancied up and expensive so much that I can’t afford it! I wonder how my old computer gets bugs and lags. Yes, it lags, like saying that it’s loading. Such really is the irony of things.

Maybe it’s a wonder but to many the answer is the same – technology improves and old ones get phased out like computers from desktops to laptops and tablets. It’s like people, we do get old. But age is just a number they say? Yes, it may or may not be.

In mental health, age is not a variable for experiencing mental health issues. Even children, youngsters and adults may have it. It’s not time bound and it’s not one issue you can phase-out like old computers.

In mental health, like computers, response lacks and lags as if saying, “Still loading”. Especially when the effects of the medicines as downers or uppers. Truly, mental health is not curable but manageable. So why bother if there’s no cure?

The cure is indirect and it is in healing the things you cannot control. So what can be controlled? Your reactions and responses sometimes need processing that is not that fast like a computer. It lags and says, “Still loading”.

However, if you found the right way of coping and maintaining things, you will continue to live the life you wanted. At times, it may be hard to say, “Still loading”, to people. Few understand these facts. In a quick and responsive and reacting world, you are required to give opinion and react fast especially when leading people but sometimes you are allowed to lag and say, “still loading”.

Be kind and empathize with those who need that time for saying, “still loading”. You might not know if it can happen to you or to any of your family. Hopefully not but if it happens to others, allow people to process things according to their own pace – less faster than a computer.

Warm hugs to everyone who thinks less and works less than a computer. After all, we are human with emotions – feeling and living.

May the “still loading” sign keep you pausing but never giving up.
