Highly touted Nathalia Dinis of Brazil proved too much for Dr. Joanne Bognadon, scoring a unanimous decision win in the co- main event of the 1st Kombat Taekwondo Philippine Open held April 4 at the Baguio Convention Center.
Dinis used her vast international experience and height advantage as she pulled off a lopsided victory against Bognadon, who aside from a doctor is also a registered nurse.
Right from the opening bell, Dinis did not waste any time as she immediately pushed the action to the mat while Bognadon tried to counter the Brazilian’s attack.
“I wanted a knock-out, I’m not gonna lie. I tried with a head kick, but she had a lot of experience and she got good blocks. But I wanted to perform well, I wanted to show who am I and what I can do,” said the Brazilian looker in a post fight interview.
“I had a great training with some awesome MMA girls. I felt like in training, if I could spar with them, nobody’s gonna beat me,” added Dinis.
