When did you last read a book? How many books have you read lately? Name their titles. What genre were they? Note what you learned from them.

Sometimes, I think that printed books are antiques so much that ebooks are the way to go especially in this digital age or even an AI dominated world. However, the old school style of holding a book in your hands – smelling the fresh book scent is enough for nerds and geeks like me to go “loco” reading and hoarding books.I wonder what’s so utterly wonderful about a book? Beats me!

I remember that when we were young, we read those fairytale books where it says, “In a far, far, far away land, there lived a king and a queen” and so on. Sleeping Beauty and Snow White started with these plethoras until Shrek ushered in a new standard of beauty and gallantry. These same books were often accompanied by discs or audio books at that time.

Then, came an era of mystery and goosebumps with Nancy Drew’s paradigm where secret keys, doors and lockets remained unopened or perhaps, an inquiry into the other realm. Then you slowly learn romancing like adult princes and princesses in fairy tales of medieval ages. Perhaps, you knew Sydney Sheldon or even Daniel Steel. Then came Adventure stories and Science-Fiction lists of books. Some of which – were a combination of all sorts. Perhaps – a memoir or a Harry Potter book turned into movies. Even Sally Rooney, Murakawa and many others ushered in new waves and expectations of various plots and twists or maybe open-ended closings. I wonder, how do you close an open-ended question, right? Beats me!

Life is like a book. It may be filled with various genres and emotions. It may be filled with stuff and stories to share. But if there’s anything else you need to know about life’s books is that it goes on and on until your last breath. As long as you’re here – your story isn’t over yet.

May you find the courage to continue your story book – despite the non-fairytale world, the realistically challenging world and the Pandora’s box pythagorean and the polynomials in a series of numbers in this world. Even in fiction and non-fiction or even friction, acceleration or speed of action, may you find your own unique story to share and find the solace of your own voice – for you are exquisite, extraordinary and yes, your story isn’t over yet! Let me repeat, your story isn’t over yet!
