Whang-od eyed to judge in ‘Happiest Pinoy’ reboot

After a five – year hiatus, Cebuana Lhuillier officially relaunched the “Happiest Pinoy,” with world-renowned tattooist Apo Whang-od being considered to judge the campaign.

This year’s revival of the campaign brings hope, inspiration, and optimism at a time when the need for such qualities has never been more apparent, marking the beginning of a new chapter in the search for joy and resilience among Filipinos.

The “Happiest Pinoy” contest is being relaunched by Cebuana Lhullier after the COVID pandemic to raise the country’s spirit.

“The last few years have been challenging for all of us, but through it all, the unique Filipino spirit — the same spirit we celebrate in this campaign – remained unbreakable,” said Jean Henri Lhullier, Cebuana Lhullier’s CEO.

Now in its fifth edition, The Happiest Pinoy will include two Special Awards, Katutubo (TRIBO) and Happiest Ka-Cebuana.

Whang-od is expected to judge in the TRIBO category, said Jonathan Batangan, the CLFI executive director.
