Tuba no sweat win over late addition Kabayan

SABLAN, Benguet – Tuba practically did not break a sweat as it swept last minute entry Kabayan, 25-8, 25-5, 25-12 for its second win in the Cong. Eric Go Yap Congressional Cup Benguet Women’s Volleybll League at the Sablan municipal gym here.
Radinka Dumawor scored 19 points, 16 on attacks and three service aces, to lead the squad to its second win in what is yet the shortest game of 42 minutes of the three-week old tournament backed by Cong. Yap, the ACT – CIS Partylist, the office of Gov. Melchor Diclas and the Media for Sports Development.
Dumawor, a product of ABCAmp and now a second-year criminology student at the University of the Cordilleras, poured seven of the team’s effort in the third set alone.
Kabayan was a last – minute inclusion to the tournament as it earlier said that it won’t field a team.
Itogon hopes to bounce back after defaulting its game last Sunday when most of the players arrived after the 15 – minute defaulting time ended.
Three other games are scheduled here including the powerhouses Sablan and La Trinidad in the last game today. CEGYCC Release
