As a result of the intensified PNP campaign against illegal drugs, the Lumin-awa cops of the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) discover and burn a total of P4,400,000 worth of marijuana plants in Kalinga on July 28, 2024.
In Tabuk City, 12,000 pieces of fully grown marijuana plants (FGMJP) worth P2,400,000 were discovered by joint operatives of the 1st Kalinga Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), Tabuk City Police Station, and Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) following a marijuana eradication operation conducted in Brgy. Nambaran.
In Tinglayan, another 10,000 pieces of FGMJP worth of P2,000,000.00 were discovered by joint operatives of Tinglayan Municipal Police Station, PDEU, and the 1st and 2nd Kalinga PMFC in Brgy. Tulgao East.
All the discovered marijuana plants were burned onsite to ensure their destruction, while samples were collected and sent to the Regional Forensic Unit-Cordillera for further qualitative analysis. NLMonitor
