KAPANGAN, Benguet – Mankayan bucked a slow start, trailed by as much as four in the first set, then coasted to a three-set win over a hapless Bakun Sunday in the Cong. Eric Go Yap Congressional Cup – Women’s Volleyball League at the Kapangan municipal gym here Sunday.
Benguet State University standout Marlyn Juian scored 13 points as Mankayan took the victory, 25-20, 25-18, 25-7 in 54 minutes of action.
Julian had 10 points from kills and three from service aces to give Mankayan its second win.
Mary Joyce Marinas had eight points of which seven came from aces.
Meanwhile, Tuba will face Kibungan, the recipient of a win when 15 of Itogon players failed to report before the 15-minute defaulting time expired.
