Milestone events can also be sustainable.
Baguio event haven Frangeli House has shown the way toward sustainable celebrations with its signature brand of quiet elegance, natural vibes, and environmentally conscious planning.
Frangeli House General Manager Chaya Claver opened Love, Frangeli: The Art of Gathering on August 21, launching a three-day showcase that sets a new benchmark for intimate, sustainable, and community-centered event and wedding planning. The event brought together over 40 suppliers from across the Cordillera region.
“It actually used to be our home here in Baguio. After a while, we started hosting personal events here, and people began inquiring about how to book it, inspiring us to open the space to the public,” Claver shared.
Set within the iconic, pine estate, Love, Frangeli featured a handpicked selection of trusted suppliers situated in spaces throughout the picturesque forest home. The gathering also hosted interactive spots for intimate discussions on pressing industry topics, dubbed “Slow Conversations,” with live demonstrations throughout the day.
Highlighting the vital role of local partners, Claver said “Basically, everything that you may need for your wedding or life milestone is all here, and you can book them on the spot. Suppliers play a huge role in any milestone event or wedding because the house is an empty shell. When suppliers come in, they bring your vision to life, how you want your event to feel, sound, and taste.”
On August 21, guests were guided through a private house tour followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony, opening the three-day gathering with live performances by violinist Jirah Guanzon and musical ensemble The Chapters Inbound. Throughout the day, attendees sampled regional culinary highlights from Avos Coffee, wine selections from Danum Wine, and savory dishes provided by Cocina Del Sol, Amare La Cocina, Hill Station, and Mario’s Restaurant.
Afternoon discussions brought together creative voices from Colour Farm, Kat Javier Photography, 2600 Stories, and Local Folke Studio to talk about “Authentic Hosting Over Pure Commercialism.” Premier makeup and hair artists Paolo San Juan and Dianne Alcantara also led an interactive learning pod, delivering live, on-the-spot styling demonstrations.
On August 22, focuses on “Sustainable and Elevated Celebrations,” placing environmental mindfulness at the center of modern wedding planning. Hosted by Sheila Gomez, the afternoon talks featured an industry panel with Jamie Fagyan Santon (Viva La Events), Nikki Azalea (Glam & Style), Bernard Borja (BB Wedding & Events), and Ethel Alonzo (Bebe Boom Events) discussing how to execute eco-conscious celebrations without sacrificing aesthetic grandeur.
Live floral and tablescape demonstrations by BB Weddings & Events, Bebe Boom, and Event Designs by Tiffany showed couples how to translate sustainable choices into elevated arrangements, capping the day off with Golden Hour Cocktail Sessions featuring acoustic sets and DJ performances.
August 23 closes the three-day affair dubbed as “Designing Personal Stories: Meaningful Celebrations,” tackling hyper-personalized wedding design. Hosted by Paolo San Juan and Jamie Yaneza, the panel featured Jomai Arnaiz (One Twenty-Three Events), Rhia Darang (Hip Events), Blaze Sy (Hijo de Photo Studio), alongside other creative leads.
Simultaneously, the event offers “Planning Pods,” a one-on-one mini-consultation session where the audience gets to sit down with planners from Eimaj Events, Uncomplicated Wedding, and partner stylists to map out their individual visions.
Claver said “It is more than just an event. It’s a transformative experience that celebrates love, creativity, and sustainable choices. Wedding professionals, creatives, and eco-conscious individuals come together, sparking conversation and collaborations.”
