Bahay Bulilit day care center completed on time, turned over to the city

As promised, the Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit Day Care Center at Asin Road was completed and turned over to the city government on March 12, 2025.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong, Asin Road barangay Peter Dumapi and the Official of the City Social Welfare and Development under OCSWD Officer Liza Bulayungan received the structure from the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Philippines as part of its corporate social responsibility project.

The city’s day care was RMCH’s first in the Cordillera Administrative Region and the 47th in the country.

Project construction began after the groundbreaking and capsule laying ceremony last Feb. 13, 2025 and was finished as scheduled.

It has a floor area of approximately 70-77 sqm on a lot measuring 120-150 sqm at Purok 1 of the barangay which was specifically chosen for catering to a bigger daycare student population.

McDonalds Ph and RMHC said the project “aims to provide access to early education to children in the underserved communities.”

“Children will have a safe and conducive space to learn, grow and develop foundational skills. It focuses on the overall well-being of children by offering holistic support including early education, social development and nutrition programs, empowering families and communities. This program strengthens communities by equipping parents and caregivers with resources and knowledge to support children’s education and growth.” – Baguio City Public Information Office
