Baguio Little League opens SUMVAC Training Camp

In a bid to further develop and enhance the skills of little league baseball in the city, Baguio City Little League will hold a SUMVAC Training Camp 2024 starting this Saturday.

“Baguio City Little League is thrilled to announce the SUMVAC Training Camp 2024, a golden opportunity for young athletes to hone their skills under the guidance of champion coaches and trainers. This eagerly anticipated event promises to be a highlight of the summer, offering top-notch training and a chance to meet some of the most respected figures in youth baseball,” said coach Rafael Lapena.

Set on May 25 at the Baguio Athletic Bowl, the seven-dayclinic will start at 10 in the morning until 12 noon and will be open to children aged 6 to 13 years old.

Lapena added the SUMVAC training camp 2024 will feature an impressive lineup of champion coaches and trainers dedicated to developing the talents of young athletes.

“Participants will have the chance to learn the fundamentals of baseball, including batting, pitching, fielding, and base running, all within a supportive and motivating environment,” added Lapena.

The baseball coach added the camp is designed not only to improve technical skills but also to foster important life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship while the hands-on training sessions will be complemented by interactive meet-and-greet opportunities with the coaches, providing a well-rounded experience for all attendees.

Each participant will learn skillsdevelopment by gain valuable insights and training from experienced coaches while improving character that emphasize on teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship.

Lapena said the camp will also be an avenue to meet fellow young athletes and build friendships while enjoying a fun-filled training environment designed to inspire and motivate.

“Our team of coaches includes some of the most respected and accomplished figures in youth baseball. Their dedication to nurturing young talent ensures that each participant receives personalized attention and guidance, helping them reach their full potential,” Lapena added.
