Bumina-ang battles Mongolian Batsaikhan

Carlo Bumina-ang is set to bring his aggressive style back to the circle tonight as he faces Mongolia’s Batochir Batsaikhan in a high-stakes bantamweight MMA clash at Lumpinee Stadium in the co-main event of ONE Championship’s The Inner Circle.

Bumina-ang, of the legendary Team Lakay camp in Baguio City, carries a 9-2 record and an 89 percent finishing rate into the contest.

Known as “The Bull,” Bumina-ang has built a reputation for a relentless pace that blends heavy striking with punishing ground-and-pound.

He faces a significant physical challenge in Batsaikhan, a counter-striker from Teiwaz Striking Gym.

Batsaikhan holds a 6-2 record with an 83 percent finishing rate and will hold a four-inch height advantage over the Filipino where the Mongolian standout is expected to utilize his reach to neutralize Bumina-ang’s forward pressure.

Team Lakay head coach Mark Sangiao said a win tonight would set the stage for a high-profile pursuit of tormentor and bantamweight champion Enkh – Orgil Baatarkhuu.

“If he wins, Carlo is looking forward to have a rematch with bantamweight champion Baatarkhuu,” Sangiao said.

In the main event, Thailand’s Pet Suanluangrodyok takes on “Petsam” Nahyan Mohammed.

Pet, a 19-year-old representing Sitsarawatseur, has been nearly untouchable as of late, boasting a 51-11 record and a reputation for technical precision. The Thai native is a clinical operator who uses his range to dismantle opponents with traditional Muay Thai efficiency.

However, he faces a massive test in Mohammed, a 17-year-old phenom fighting out of Petch Muay Thai Gym.

Representing France and Algeria, “Petsam” is a tall, rangy striker who carries a 33-10 record. Despite his youth, he has shown a veteran’s poise and the unique ability to use his height advantage to overwhelm opponents with long-range weapons and sharp clinch work. Roderick Osis
