Baguio Spring Festival set Feb. 9-22

The local government lined up a series of activities to celebrate this year’s Spring festival and the Chinese Lunar New year from February 9-22, 2026.

The celebration of the Spring festival will fire off on February 9, 2026 with the launching of the calendar of activities during the regular Monday flag raising ceremony at the city hall grounds.

The traditional Media Night will be held on February 10, 2026 at the Hotel Supreme Mall and Events Center followed by the regular barangay gift giving activity on February 13, 2026 at Middle Quirino Hill covered court.

The much awaited grand colorful parade will be held on February 16, 2026 that will feature various cultural presentations and festival elements for the Year of the Fire Horse. The parade will start from Upper Session road up to the Melvin Jones football grounds passing through Magsaysay Avenue and Harrison road.

The Awards Night will be held on February 16, 2026 at the Hotel Supreme Mall and Events Center where organizers, partners and members of the Baguio Filipino-Chinese community will gather to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse.

On February 22, 2026, Session Road, the city’s main thoroughfare, will be again converted into a Little Chinatown where both residents and tourists will have the chance to witness for themselves the culture of the Chinese and the products that will be sold in the said main street. The said event will be preceded by the Chinese New Year fun run earlier that day.

Ordinance No. 8, series of 1999 institutionalized the celebration of the Spring festival in the city that made Baguio the first city in the country to institutionalize the annual celebration. Baguio City Public Information Office
