How to Find Hope? They say hope is hard to find especially when you’re in the darkest place. It’s hard to realize when you yourself are in a bad place. It’s hard to see with a blind eye. Hope is a vague word. It is a word that is subjective and can not be determined exactly by two people.
To some it is love, to others it is not. It may be a career, to others it may be being a housewife. It may be wealth to others yet to others too it may be being healthy. To others it may be more, to others it may be less.
We all are in different circumstances. When asked, “How do I find hope?” I say, like a firefly. You bring hope from inside to outside. It must start from within. It is like bringing your own flashlight when you go spelunking. It is being prepared to bring light when it is dark in the night.
Some find hope in faith while others cannot. Some find hope within yet some find hope without. Some grope for the slightest flicker or hope while some need it by the tons.
Hope is you. Hope is me. Hope is us. Hope is to inspire in our own little ways and be inspired in many ways. Wherever you find it, just find it. It doesn’t matter when, where or how as long as you find it. Continue gallivanting and hoping and living. Hope keeps us alive.
This October 11, 2025 (Saturday) join us with hope as we spread hope in every way we can. We will be holding a mental health workshop on Creative writing, journaling and arts with creatives like me, Melanie Duran and Nicole Joy Morales. We are a bunch of advocates trying to find hope and spread hope in our little ways. See you at Barteak Cafe Km 4 La Trinidad. Register your slot at https://forms.gle/ WZncWBCd3VtGe7iW6. For sometimes also, it is hope when you least expect it.
