CCDC Admirals bounce back against BCU Eagles

Cordillera Career Development College Admirals vent ire on the Baguio Central University Eagles, 89 – 75, as it sets its sight for another finals appearance in men’s basketball of the Baguio – Benguet Educational Athletic League season 36.

After a sorry loss against rival University of Baguio Cardinals in their last outing, the Admirals flexed their muscles early on posting a 25 – 17 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

Airjay Contaoi who finished the ball game with 16 points teamed up with Renz Jornacio as the defending champs pummeled Season 36 host BCU in the second period and enjoy a 47 – 33 advantage at half time.

It was cruise control the rest of the second half for the La Trinidad based college, eyeing its fifth over-all title in the premier tournament of the BBEAL’s first phase.

Jornacio pick – up from where he left off in their last outing with a game high 18 points while Paolo Boado chipped in 17 markers with Aaron Nang-is adding eight points.

The Admirals will take a much-needed rest Sunday after games were postponed in anticipation of Typhoon Uwan.

CCDC is supposed to take on Philippine Military Academy Cavaliers at the PMA Gym in Fort Del Pilar where they will close out the five game schedule.

On the 15th, the defending champion will take on the University of the Cordilleras Jaguars at the SLU gym before closing out their campaign in the elimination round against another final four contender in Saint Louis University Navigators on Nov. 22 in their homecourt.
