Recognizing the need to organize the growing basketball communities dedicated to promoting sportsmanship, discipline, brotherhood, and community service, the newly elected officers of the King of the Court (KOC) – Baguio City were recently inducted into office.
Baguio City Congressman Mauricio G. Domogan administered the oath of office to the newly elected officers and encouraged the group to become instruments of positive change in the community by using basketball as a platform for youth development and leadership.
Leading the organization is president Troi Ludivic, together with the newly inducted officers: spokesperson Majed Soliot; secretary Helsing Dacumos; treasurer Renren; tournament Managers Justine Navarro and Zyriche Gundran; technical committee chair KD Tablac; referees Shan Quicho, Jack Soriano, and Renren De Jesus; registration committee head JV Quicho; logistics committee head Majed Soliot; marketing and media head Carlo Angel; security and medical head Joey Macabare; awards committee head Michael Russel; and documentation committee head Vladimir Lacerna.
The veteran lawmaker also called on the youth to stay away from vices, illegal gambling, and other destructive influences, reminding them that true success comes through hard work, determination, and good character.
Domogan also urged the newly elected leaders to inspire fellow young people by becoming role models both on and off the basketball court.
The officers took an oath pledging to faithfully discharge their duties, uphold the Constitution and By-Laws of the King of the Court (KOC), protect the integrity of the organization, promote fair play, and place the welfare of the organization and its members above personal interests.
With its new leadership officially installed, King of the Court (KOC) – Baguio City reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the basketball community by fostering sportsmanship, unity, brotherhood, and youth empowerment while creating opportunities for aspiring athletes to grow into responsible and productive members of society.
