Three years later, Valencia’s has become a staple for locals and tourists wanting to sample the house specialty.

“Yung restaurant, isa sa mga pangarap na negosyo ng pamilya ko. And noong nagsimula kami, nandoon yung takot,” said the young entrepreneur.

With their recent third year anniversary celebration, Richard can’t help but look back at the journey, recalling his first venture into food was way back in 2003 when he opened a snack house when he started his family at a young age.

“Full of challenge yung first year ko,” added Richard, referring to Valencia’s. “Tapos panibagong makakasama sa Baguio.”

But his fears were later turned into joy as family and friends, have poured their support to the restaurant, and his staff who worked tirelessly to deliver quality service to its diners since they opened during the pandemic.
