Members of the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) convened Wednesday, August 13, 2025 for the midyear assessment and planning. Several programs, projects and activities being spearheaded were presented and assessed as to implementation and budgetary requirements from the City Social Welfare and Development Office, the City Health Services Office, the Department of Education Schools Division of Baguio City, City Prosecutor, City Planning, Sustainability and Development Office, the barangays, civic organizations and attached government agencies particularly the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Baguio City Police Office, among other city departments and offices.
The meeting served as a review of CADAC PPAs in compliance to Memorandum Circular No. 2022-141 listing the guidelines on the Formulation of the Local Anti-Drug Plan of Action (LADPA).
The LADPA is a compilation of several projects, programs and activities identified and being implemented by member agencies including civic groups and volunteers duly adopted by the LGU.
This includes mandatory plans such as the Peace and Order and Public Safety (POPS) Plan.
Local government units are mandated to craft policies and PPAs in line with the Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) serving as blueprint of the government’s strategies, and programs in addressing the nation’s drug use problem. Baguio City Public Information Office
