The city government of Baguio officially launched April 21, the online Work Permit Application System or “WorkPASS”.
City Budget Officer Leticia O. Clemente said the program is in line with the city government’s digitalization initiatives to speed up the voluminous transactions in key city offices.
The latest system developed links the City Mayor’s Office, Public Employment Services Office (PESO), City Health Services Office (CHSO) and the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) and allow parallel processing of work permit applications once lodged online.
Starting April 21, applicants will need to log-in on the official website of the city government at https://workpass.baguio.gov.ph to fill up digital forms and prepare pre-requisites such as receipt of payments for cedula, police clearance and work permit paid at the Business-One-Stop-Shop (BOSS) in City Hall.
Applicants may choose a schedule when to attend the food handler’s seminar for food handlers and other laboratory tests.
Once accomplished, the applicant shall bring all original receipt of payments and laboratory test results including cedula and police clearance to the PESO for processing and releasing.
A digital work permit with unique QR code with date and time stamp will be issued to the applicant through the WorkPASS system.
The applicant may print his/her work permit or submit a digital copy to the employer.
Similar to the BuildPASS, the WorkPASS was the brainchild of the local finance committee, and it is continuously being improved to address emerging concerns from the transacting public. Baguio City Public Information Office
